Founded in 2018, TheArmDoc includes Media links to various educational videos as well as a downloads section for leaflets and recent well-established evidence. 




Since May 2018, our webinars have been recognised by the Royal College of surgeons (Recognition number – RCSEd02104). 

The attendance of our weekly webinar is associated with an award of  1 CPD by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. 


Orthopaedic Research UK


We are proud that we are partners with Orthopaedic Research UK. ORUK is a charitable organisation funding high quality research and education into musculoskeletal science. 

Established in 1989 by the orthopaedic surgeon Mr Ronald Furlong FRCS, Orthopaedic Research UK ( formerly known as the Furlong Research Charitable Foundation) is a medical charity dedicated to advancing orthopaedic knowledge, not just by funding and publicising research – but also by organising training and events which promote collaboration between orthopaedic surgeons, scientists and engineers.

This interactive two-day course focuses on preparing delegates for the viva (oral) component of the FRCS (Orth) in a friendly atmosphere. Delegates will work through a range of techniques to improve both oral skills and orthopaedic clinical examination skills. 


Chertsey FRCS Course

This is possibly the oldest FRCS course in the UK. It was originally started by the renowned Alan Graham Apley (1914- 1996), in 1948 and he taught and chaired it for 15 years. 

A course that has been running for decades in Chertsey, Surrey, teaching orthopaedic surgeons for their final exams. 

The course covers all aspects of orthopaedics with special focus on vivas and exam techniques. Lectures will highlight the salient features in every topic and will enable candidates to enrich their answers with the right “buzz words” and tips and tricks for mastering the exam. 


Warwick FRCS Course

Two days viva and clinical course in Warwick.
